Villa
Design
Big houses need smarter thinking, not just bigger budgets. A villa that looks good and actually works — that takes more planning than most people expect.
A big house that doesn’t become a big problem
A villa is not a large house. It’s a different type of building entirely. The plot is bigger, the rooms are more spread out, the staff quarters need their own entry, and the boundary wall alone needs a proper plan. Getting all of this right without creating a property that’s expensive to maintain and awkward to live in — that’s what villa design is actually about.
Most clients come to us after seeing something online or in a magazine and wanting something similar. The first thing we tell them is that those photographs are taken with special lenses on perfect days by professional photographers. What matters is how the house feels at 6pm when everyone’s home, or in June when the heat is at its worst, or in the first week of December when it finally cools down.
We care more about those everyday moments than about how the villa photographs. Because that’s what you’ll actually experience for the rest of your life.
Details that separate a good villa from a great one
These are the things that rarely come up in early conversations but end up being the most important once the family starts living there.

Villa projects involve more drawings and more coordination than a regular house. We cover all of it so nothing gets missed and no one can say later that they weren’t told.
Villa projects take longer to design than regular homes — not because we work slowly, but because there is genuinely more to figure out. A 500 sq yard villa with a basement, three floors, staff quarters, and a proper outdoor area cannot be designed in a week. Anyone who tells you otherwise is handing you a template, not a design. We typically take 5 to 7 weeks for a villa design and we use every day of that time.
