Villa
Design

Big houses need smarter thinking, not just bigger budgets. A villa that looks good and actually works — that takes more planning than most people expect.

A big house that doesn’t become a big problem

A villa is not a large house. It’s a different type of building entirely. The plot is bigger, the rooms are more spread out, the staff quarters need their own entry, and the boundary wall alone needs a proper plan. Getting all of this right without creating a property that’s expensive to maintain and awkward to live in — that’s what villa design is actually about.

Most clients come to us after seeing something online or in a magazine and wanting something similar. The first thing we tell them is that those photographs are taken with special lenses on perfect days by professional photographers. What matters is how the house feels at 6pm when everyone’s home, or in June when the heat is at its worst, or in the first week of December when it finally cools down.

We care more about those everyday moments than about how the villa photographs. Because that’s what you’ll actually experience for the rest of your life.

Details that separate a good villa from a great one

These are the things that rarely come up in early conversations but end up being the most important once the family starts living there.

Separate Staff Entry
When the help comes in through the same gate as your guests, it creates daily awkwardness. We plan the staff entry, movement path, and quarters from day one so they’re actually usable and separate where it should be.
The Car Porch Everyone Forgets
Families grow. Cars multiply. A porch that fits two cars at the time of construction becomes a problem in five years. We plan for three at minimum unless the plot genuinely cannot allow it — and we say so upfront.
Terrace You’ll Actually Use
A terrace with no shade, no seating plan, and no direct access from the main living area is just an expensive roof. We design it as an outdoor room — with evening use in mind, not just construction completion photographs.
Landscaping That Survives
We only specify plants that actually grow in Lucknow’s soil and climate. No ornamental trees that die in their first summer. No lawns that need expensive daily maintenance. Your garden should look good with reasonable effort, not require a full-time gardener.
Electricity Load Planning
A villa-sized house draws a lot of power. Air conditioners, geysers, inverter backup, outdoor lighting — if the electrical plan isn’t done properly at the start, you’ll be breaking walls and re-wiring within three years. We get this right the first time.
Boundary Wall and Security
The boundary isn’t just a wall — it’s height, camera positions, the guard room, gate width, and intercom points. We plan all of this as part of the design, not as an afterthought once the main house is finished and the budget is tight.

Full documentation from boundary wall to roof terrace

Villa projects involve more drawings and more coordination than a regular house. We cover all of it so nothing gets missed and no one can say later that they weren’t told.

One Honest Thing to Know

Villa projects take longer to design than regular homes — not because we work slowly, but because there is genuinely more to figure out. A 500 sq yard villa with a basement, three floors, staff quarters, and a proper outdoor area cannot be designed in a week. Anyone who tells you otherwise is handing you a template, not a design. We typically take 5 to 7 weeks for a villa design and we use every day of that time.
